More goodies from SAWEC!
More sweets! Today is a very good day. Lots of sugar, but oh so worth it.
Melanie from San Antonio Weddings and Event Consultants brought us this adorable box of goodies.
If you ever speak with Teresa Bryson, owner and director of events at SAWEC, you'll immediately feel like you've been friends for a very long time. She is so sweet. Click here to check her out on San Antonio Weddings website, and look for her in the Wedding Fair show in January.
Thanks so much ladies. :)

Christmas Cookies: From Elaine's Custom Cakes & Cookies
You know it's the holiday season when cards with Santa on them come in the mail, and most especially when you receive delicious treats like hand-decorated cookies.
Look what came for us! Elaine from Elaine's Custom Cakes & Cookies sent these amazingly scrumptious sweets. YUUMMMMYYY!!! Homemade is certainly the way to go. If you haven't picked out your cake yet, check out Elaine's. These cookies are heavenly and I'm sure her cakes are just has tasty.
What's even sweeter than the cookies themselves, is I know personally, that Elaine herself was the one who decorated each cookie by hand. Just look at that detail.
Cookies are great favors for weddings and make a great "after-dinner" dessert.
Thanks so much Elaine! It's so sweet of you to think of us.

Look at the size of this cookie...huge!

It's officially two weeks away from the new year. Whoa! Where has the year gone? I swear I thought I was just listening to a Backstreet Boys' song. Oh wait, I was. One of the girls in the office made it "Boy Band" Tuesday a few weeks back.
Anyway, I wanted to share a few of my favorite "wedding" songs. Some of these are new, but most are older. Enjoy!

J. Green Jewelers hosts Open House
Are you engaged but don't have a ring yet? "What? What do you mean?" you may ask. Local jewelers agree that many couples pick out the engagement ring together.
And the holiday season is the perfect time to visit shops. Many will have additional discounts this Christmas. Or, if you do have your engagement ring, you still need a wedding band right? What about your bridal jewelry? Well, you're in luck.
J. Green Jewelers is having an open house tomorrow, December 16 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at the location in The Vineyards Shopping Center off of 1604 and Blanco. Enjoy a hors d'oeuvres, music, gift bags, a new line of luxury cars and of course the finest jewelry. For more information call 210-492-0022.
I even got my ring there. I took some pictures. Please note, I'm not a professional photographer. With that said, enjoy!

Favorite Photos Friday: Picks of the Week
Happy Friday! Enjoy!
Dave Crockett Photography

Dave is one of San Antonio Weddings' newest clients and I must say, so far his stuff amazes me. I love how he was able to capture the couple in this shot. Sometimes those things are overlooked, but he did it well. Can't wait to see more.

To me, a good photographer should have the ability to capture emotion in its truest form. Whether that comes pure unfolding of events or a little prompting, these expressions can last but just a few seconds so it's important that they can take the photo, without the blur and dark lighting. Dane of Dos Kiwis certainly does great work. I really enjoy visiting his blog every day and seeing what new things he has done. And while weddings are joyous occasions, every person in the photos he's taken always seem to have a huge smile across their face.

Since I'm often on the web, I see a lot of photos. And when I visit Philip's website or blog I am always taken back by how well he is able to document emotions. It's photos like his that bring me back to my own wedding and I happily replay the day in my head. Great job, once again!
