Wedding Fair: January 2010

Everyone has a vision for their wedding, but it's wonderful when you can actually SEE how it will come out. Bridal shows are the perfect chance to do so. This past Sunday was the January Wedding Fair. We got to see some amazing booths by some very talented vendors...some of the best in the industry I must say. Here are some great ideas from a few of our friends!

The ladies at San Antonio Wedding and Event Consultants did an amazing job at putting together this canopy. Here's a close-up shot. Can you imagine how long it took to put moss around that? What a great job too! The wonderful thing about this piece is it's versatility. It's great for an outdoor ceremony of course, but it would work nicely inside as well. Just carry on the look through the space. Put a few strands of curly willow on pews and incorporate the look in your bouquet. A splash of reds and oranges for a beautiful fall look or strings of white flowers and crystals for a winter masterpiece. The possibilities are endless.

The French Connection also had something similar. I love the soft elegance it provides-such a romantic look for a early spring wedding. Don't mind all the people in the way, it was obviously a really busy show. :)

Riven Rock Ranch was also at the show. If you haven't picked out a location just yet, Riven Rock Ranch is certainly worth visiting. Its serene surroundings and gorgeous views of the Hill Country make this place a perfect location to vow forever.

Look at this beautiful tablescape. And while the centerpiece and linens are exquisite, I LOVE the chairs-modern yet classic.

Need a cake? While any food is certainly about the quality of taste, it's important not
to overlook that a cake is more than just a yummy dessert. It's a work of art. Be sure when you're shopping for your wedding cake or grooms cake to be meticulous.

The Cake Shop offers both, beauty and deliciousness. Check out some of their work.

I love how the tiers are off center. What a fabulous, fresh look.

Check out this awesome display from Goen South Weddings. Modern and chic...LOVE it! hehe..

If you've been to several shows like we have, then you'll know that every year Bisli's booth (Bisli Event Services) is always extravagant. Just a sneak peak into the work of the talented mastermind herself. Look at how she transforms this space. Talk about luxurious! And if you've ever met Bisli, you know that she is one of the sweetest, most professional people out there.

One of our dearest husband and wife teams, Barbara and Alex of Still Life Photography and Stilettos Boudoir Photography was at the show too. Look how busy they were. Almost always a
good thing. They're a very talented pair. They have featured work at annual shows around the area and even had some images from their Stilettos division on buildings in Las Vegas. Check it out here.

Stationery is probably the first peek into a wedding, so it's important to choose quality products to help you reflect your big day. TLC Invitations and More offers just that. The booths are so fun to go into. It's like you've literally walked into its store. And customer service is superb!

Rebecca Kathleen, located in Artisan's Alley, offers a plethora of bridal and everyday lingerie perfect for under your wedding dress or your honeymoon. OK, so you know how some dresses are so thin, or have a cut so custom it's hard to find an undergarment that works. Rebecca Kathleen has solutions in sizes of every kind. If they don't have one available in store, custom ordering is doable. Definitely worth checking out.

Debi's Bridal has made several of The Wedding Lady's "Dress Picks of the Week," and for a good reason...there are gorgeous gowns at this store. Certainly worth stopping by.

What better a way than to end the day with some delicious food! Hacienda Santa Maria has someof the tastiest dishes you'll ever try! If you weren't able to sample any at the show, stop by the restaurant and enjoy the treat.

Check out the next Wedding Fair June 13, 2010. Look for a $3 off coupon in the next issue of San Antonio Wedding magazine.
